QVHT Priority & Standard Waitlist Info
What is a waitlist?
A waitlist is a list of people who are very interested in getting a baby animal, & who wants to be put on a list to be the ones that the breeder will first contact when babies are born, & when deposits can be placed on available babies, to ensure that the person receives a baby.
Our waitlist is a paid waitlist. In order to get placed on this waitlist you need to fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire & submit it for review. We will be in touch with you in at least 72 hours after you submit your questionnaire to discuss your answers & any questions you may have.
Once you become an approved adopter, you’ve read though our Adoption Process, then we will send you a Paypal invoice via email which will include the $50 Non-Refundable Deposit Fee (which is applied to the final cost of the hedgehog) to reserve your place on the waitlist. Remaining balance is due at pick up of the hedgehog but can be paid prior to pickup if wanted, we accept Cash or PayPal only for payment at pickups.
Being on our Priority Wait List, allows you to have 1st pick of available babies over the general public. But we the breeder reserve the right to choose from our litters first.
Our waitlist is only for when we have babies available, we don’t do waitlists for specific litters because breeding is too unpredictable & sometimes litters don’t have viable babies in them. It would be unethical for us to do waitlists for specific litters.
When you are on the waitlist & the expected babies are born, we will contact you & let you know this. At around 3 weeks we will contact everyone on the priority waitlist with photos of the available babies. I will go down the list in order of who put their deposit down & contact each person to ask which baby they would like from the ones available. You will then have 24 hours to respond with your pick, if you do not respond within 24 hours with your pick we will assume you’re no longer interested & move on to the next person on the list (in order). *But you will not be bumped off the list.*
Any Questions, Please Free to ask.
***Quill Valley Hedgehogs & Exotics reserves the right to make any changes to this contract and any other written policy's with out notice, & to Refuse Service to anyone. Any hedgehog that is Neglected/Abused or there was a Breech in Contract will be removed from the Buyers care without notice, & Legal action will be be taken if necessary (at the buyers cost). We will go over everything you need to know at the time of pickup. But in the future if you have any question please feel free to ask! All owners will be asked to join the Facebook groups that we have listed under education, for support from other owners & to learn more about their new pets. We love our animals, & only want what is best for them. So we screen our clients thoroughly to make sure that our animals are going to great homes where they will be loved & well taken care of.***

What Our Clients Are Saying
"Victoria is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. I appreciate that she takes the time to thoroughly answer all questions, and no question is considered trivial. When we decided to get a hedgehog from her, she gave us frequent updates and helped make sure we were fully prepared before we brought home our hedgehog. She assisted me in knowing exactly what food, toys, and cage components were needed. As the babies grew, she did a great job of handling them and socializing them. I can't speak highly enough! We love our hedgehog!"
